Childbirth classes

WITH INTUITION THROUGH PREGNANCY, CHILDBIRTH AND PARENTING
BECAUSE I AM BORN ONLY ONCE
About me

Have you ever wondered how the baby feels during childbirth? And what about the mom? How can we help them feel good?

Many of us have been taught that our emotions and feelings are not important. That our intuition doesn’t matter. But that’s not true. During pregnancy and childbirth, I have to admit that what happens with me, with my body and my feelings and emotions is very important. Only I know how my child feels, how I feel, and I myself know best how I feel my baby inside me during pregnancy.

It is important that I know what I want and trust my feelings, my intuition.

It is important that during this period people around me respect me and trust my decisions.

It is important that they encourage me and believe in me and not discourage me.

It is important to focus on what kind of birth I want, how I want to welcome my baby into the world.

Workshops

I invite you to join us in the workshops and the find out what your options are and ask everything you are interested in. In the six weekly workshops (6 x 2.5 hours), we will cover all topics of interest to future parents. Classes are designed as interactive meetings, where the parents constructively co-create and acquire knowledge through conversations, various exercises, role-playing and other didactic approaches. Based on the feedback from past participants show that this is the most fun and effective way to learn. The workshops are designed to teach skills, not just communicate information that could be found in books.
I recommend you to visit all the workshops, as the topics of the workshops are intertwined and the content is slowly upgraded. On request you can also attend individual classes.

1. Childbirth without fear

The magic of birth: How do mother and child feel during childbirth and how can we help them? In the first workshop, we get to understand how our body works during childbirth and how it is perfectly tuned to give birth. This knowledge can help us to cope easier, while our partners can learn how to help us. During the birth not only the child, but also the mother, the father and the whole family is born. We discuss how to prepare for the birth to experience it as one of the most beautiful experiences in our life. We learn visualizations and other techniques that help ease the intensity of childbirth.

2. Dream birth, magical birth.

In the second workshop, we learn about various coping techniques that can help us during childbirth. Thus, we try out different birthing positions, natural distraction techniques (breathing, meditation) as well as different massage techniques (massage, acupressure points).

3. My birth wishes: Making decisions

We discuss various birth options in Slovenia and the surrounding area. We also learn where to find information and how to ask questions. Only when we learn about our options and get the whole information, we can make informed decisions. We also learn techniques that helps us to communicate and how to write down our wishes (birth plan). We also learn some new relaxation techniques that help ease the intensity of childbirth.

4. The first hug:

During the fourth workshop, we talk about the importance of the first hour after the birth. This is extremely important time for the mother-baby bonding that should not be interrupted. The birth is a welcome ritual for the baby that enters the world. If the world is gentle, kind and loving the baby feels secure. If the welcome is unpleasant, painful or scary, the baby will have a different response to her environment throughout her life. The birth is also spiritual transition for all family members and when we are aware of this, it is much easier to experience it as such. We learn about the important details given to us by nature, which make the first hour of a child’s life perhaps the most important time in our lives, and learn what is important for mother, father and child in this short time to establish as much as possible a better start and laid a solid foundation for your family.

5. Breastfeeding and the baby’s health:

Breastfeeding is not just food, but also love and security for the baby. Time to bond with her mother. But we need to learn how to breastfeed, so that we minimize the challenges that might occur during the first weeks, and discuss how to overtake these challenges. How we connect with our child through breastfeeding, carrying and massaging the baby, get to know him and recognize his wishes and needs. How do we learn to understand her and make sure we offer her what she needs. We also learn about natural approaches that help take care of our baby’s health.

6. Our first month:

In the last workshop, we talk about how we experience childbirth emotionally and what challenges we might encounter in the partnership after the baby’s birth. In addition, we learn baby handing, how to swaddle it, bathe it and how important it is to take care of the mother’s health and well-being after childbirth. We discuss the importance of the 6 weeks resting period (40 days, quarantene).
Since all classes are aimed at finding out the answers to your questions, I invite you to actively participate and ask as many questions as possible. The classes are dynamically designed and based on conversation, enriched with various exercises, massages and role-playing games and are over before and they go by very quickly.
